Gaza City’s Al Saada building collapsed before dawn today after structural damage in an earlier Israeli strike. Displaced families sheltered there because the genocidal Israeli army had destroyed housing in the besieged Strip . Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction calls the collapse a consequence of the state of Israel’s genocide and ethnic cleansing.
“By late morning, Gaza Civil Defense reported at least 14 killed, including 5 children, with 12 wounded and nearly 100 unaccounted for. At least 10 forcibly displaced families sheltered there. An estimated 2,000 damaged buildings remain inhabited in Gaza, with about 400 at imminent risk of collapse. Israeli attacks forced our families into lethal structures. The Israeli siege deprived rescuers of excavators needed to reach them. Israeli restrictions obstruct Phase Two of President Trump’s Gaza plan. The National Committee for the Administration of Gaza cannot restore roads, utilities and institutions while the genocidal state of Israel prevents the application of President Trump’s Gaza plan,” said Dimitri Diliani, spokesperson for Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction.
“Nearly 3 years after Israel began its ongoing genocide, Al Saada is one of its aftershocks.”
The Fateh Faction holds the genocidal state of Israel responsible for the murders at Al Saada and the lethal conditions its genocidal bombardment and siege impose across Gaza. It salutes Gaza’s Civil Defense crews and thanks Egyptian relief personnel and United Nations teams.
