Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction mourns Palestinian Christian martyrs Maysa Khader Ibrahim Abu Daoud (Ayyad) and Mary Hafez Michel Najjar (Abu Daoud), killed by an Israeli airstrike in Gaza City on October 2, and extends its condolences to their families.

Dimitri Diliani, Spokesperson of Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction, states: “The state of Israel targets our Christian and Muslim communities alike. Maysa and Mary belonged to our Palestinian family. Their murders deepens the grief Israeli violence has inflicted across our homes and congregations.”

Diliani adds: “Israeli attacks killed 18 civilians sheltering in Saint Porphyrius’s church compound on October 19, 2023, and 3 at Holy Family Church on July 17, 2025.”

He emphasizes: “Christian roots reach through centuries of Palestinian history. The state of Israel’s colonial domination threatens the families, churches and mosques that sustain our common life. Every Palestinian family the Israeli army bereaves belongs to our national grief.”

Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction stands with the bereaved families and affirms that the survival of our Christian and Muslim communities on our land is integral to Palestine’s future.
