The President and members of the Board of Directors of the Jordan Chamber of Industry met with Her Excellency, Ambassador of South Africa, Ms. Tsile Mokwena. Eng. Fares Hamoudah, President of the Jordan Chamber of Industry, stated that the meeting with Her Excellency the Ambassador and the embassy team specializing in economic affairs aimed at exploring economic opportunities and cooperation between the industrial and investment sectors in both countries.Hamoudah and his accompanying delegation expressed their gratitude to South Africa, its government, and its people for their courageous steps before the International Court of Justice against Israel and the genocide committed in Gaza, resulting in the deaths of over 33,000 civilians, mostly children, since October.Hamoudah emphasized Jordan's pivotal role over the years in defending the Palestinian cause, as His Majesty King Abdullah II has repeatedly emphasized the necessity of pursuing peace and endorsing the two-state solution as the only acceptable path forward in establishing a sovereign Palestinian state with its capital in East Jerusalem. He affirmed that the Palestinian issue and combating injustice have always been an integral part of Jordan's national fabric.Additionally, Hamoudah stressed the need to enhance economic cooperation between Jordan and South Africa beyond our political collaboration in combating injustice. Currently, we have modest bilateral trade, and we believe in maximizing economic value-added activities between our countries through investment opportunities, raw material exchange, and facilitating trade missions.Hamoudah highlighted the importance of including South Africa in the future interests map for a comprehensive study of economic opportunities that Jordanian industries can benefit from, whether by providing a source of raw materials or collaborating with industries in South Africa to form alliances targeting export markets.Moreover, Hamoudah pointed out the numerous investment opportunities that can be presented to investors in South Africa to launch from the Kingdom towards neighboring Arab markets, Middle and West Asian countries, especially benefiting from free trade agreements with Arab and Islamic countries specifically.Regarding industrial investment infrastructure, Hamoudah emphasized its unprecedented development, especially with the presence of industrial and developmental cities and free zones. He also highlighted the competitive advantage of Zarqa and Mafraq governorates in industrial investment, inviting investors from South Africa to visit Zarqa to explore investment opportunities and new industrial cities.Ambassador Mokwena stated that standing by the Palestinian cause is not an option but a principle, as the South African government unanimously supported the case before the International Court of Justice, conveying a message to all governments worldwide about the injustice suffered by the Palestinian people and the ramifications of apartheid. Mokwena affirmed that despite its size, Jordan plays a pivotal role globally, shedding light on the Palestinian issue and providing humanitarian aid in various ways, including airdrops.Economically, the Ambassador emphasized the importance of economic and trade cooperation with Jordan through signing memorandums of understanding in agriculture, tourism, and transportation. She also highlighted the exchange of experiences, as Jordan possesses comprehensive scientific expertise in the agricultural sector through research and universities. The Ambassador stated that Jordan provides a fertile environment for investment through continuous development and innovation, thanks to its Hashemite leadership's constant support.Member of the Jordan Chamber of Industry, Amjad Al-Basha, thanked the South African Ambassador to Jordan for her country's courageous stance on the Palestinian issue and stressed cooperation in various economic aspects, particularly in the agricultural sector and food security, and exchanging expertise. Al-Basha welcomed all Arab and foreign investments, especially those resulting from cooperation between industrial, commercial, and agricultural sectors between the two countries.At the end of the meeting, Eng. Fares Hamoudah, President of the Jordan Chamber of Industry, presented a commemorative shield resembling the Dome of the Rock in the name of the Chamber and the accompanying delegation. The Ambassador also extended her thanks for this initiative, affirming the depth of the relationship between the two countries, which will grow and expand on all political and economic levels in the coming days.
صناعة الزرقاء تلتقي سفيرة دولة جنوب افريقيا في الأردن
التقى رئيس وأعضاء مجلس إدارة غرفة صناعة الزرقاء سعادة سفيرة دولة جنوب افريقيا تسلي موكوينا. وقال رئيس غرفة صناعة الزرقاء المهندس فارس حموده أن عقد اللقاء مع سعادة السفيرة وطاقم السفارة المختص بالشؤون الاقتصادية جاء لبحث الفرص الاقتصادية والتعاون ما بين القطاعات الصناعية والاستثمارية في البلدين.
وقدم حموده والمرافقين شكرهم لدولة جنوب افريقيا حكومة وشعبا على الخطوة الشجاعة في الإجراءات أمام محكمة العدل الدولية ضد إسرائيل وجرائم الإبادة الجماعية التي ارتكبتها في غزة والتي راح ضحيتها أكثر من 33 ألف مدني معظمهم من الأطفال منذ أكتوبر.
وشدد حموده على الدور المحوري الذي لعبته الأردن على مر السنين في الدفاع عن القضية الفلسطينية، حيث أكد جلالة الملك عبد الله الثاني في مناسبات عديدة على ضرورة السعي لتحقيق السلام وإقرار حل الدولتين باعتباره السبيل الوحيد المقبول للمضي قدما في اقامة دولة فلسطينية ذات سيادة وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية، مؤكداً على أن القضية الفلسطينية ومحاربة الظلم كانت دائما جزءا لا يتجزأ من نسيجنا الوطني في المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية.
وبين حموده أنه بالإضافة إلى تعاوننا السياسي في مكافحة الظلم، هناك حاجة إلى تعزيز التعاون الاقتصادي ما بين الأردن ودولة جنوب افريقيا، فلدينا حاليًا تجارة ثنائية متواضعة ونعتقد أنه يجب علينا تعظيم أنشطة القيمة المضافة الاقتصادية بين بلدينا من خلال تقديم فرص الاستثمار، وتبادل المواد الخام، وتسهيل البعثات التجارية بين البلدين.
وشدد حموده على أهمية وضع دولة جنوب إفريقيا على خارطة الاهتمامات المستقبلية لدراسة معمقة للفرص الاقتصادية التي يمكن للصناعات الأردنية الاستفادة منها سواء من خلال توفير مصدر للمواد الأولية من جهة والتعاون مع الصناعات في جنوب إفريقيا لتشكيل تحالفات تستهدف الأسواق التصديرية.
وبين حمود هان هناك العديد من الفرص الاستثمارية التي يمكن عرضها على المستثمرين في دولة جنوب إفريقيا للانطلاق من المملكة نحو الأسواق العربية المجاورة ودول وسط وغرب أسيا وخاصة الاستفادة من اتفاقيات التجارة الحرة مع الدول العربية والإسلامية على وجه التحديد.
وأشار حموده الى أن البنية التحتية للاستثمار الصناعي تطورت بشكل غير مسبوق وخاصة مع وجود المدن الصناعية والتنموية والمناطق الحرة، كما أشار الى الميزة التنافسية لمحافظتي الزرقاء والمفرق في مجال الاستثمار الصناعي، ودعا المستثمرين في دولة جنوب افريقيا لزيارة مدينة الزرقاء للاطلاع على الفرص الاستثمارية والمدن الصناعية الجديدة.
من جهتها قالت سعادة السفيرة موكوينا ان الوقوف الى جانب القضية الفلسطينية ليس خياراً وانما مبدأ، حيث اجمعت حكومة جنوب افريقيا لى رفع القضبة في محكمة العدل الدولية، مما ساهم في توصيل رسالة لجميع حكومات العالم بالظلم الذي يعاني منه الشعب الفلسطيني ومعناته من الفصل العنصري، كما أكدت موكوينا أن الأردن وبالرغم من صغر حجمه الا انه يلعب دوراً محوريا في العالم حيث ساهمت جهود المملكة في تسليط الضوء على القضية الفلسطينية وتقديم المساعدات الانسانية بشتى الطرق بما فيها الانزالات الجوية.
وعلى مستوى الاقتصاد أكدت سعادة السفيرة على أهمية التعاون الاقتصادي والتجاري مع الأردن من خاال توقيع مذكرات تفاهم في مجالات الزراعة والسياحة والنقل.
وحضره أعضاء مجلس إدارة غرفة صناعة الزرقاء ورئيس مجموعة مذيب حداد السيد سمير حداد الذي تحدث عن مستوى التعامل التجاري والصناعي ومجالات التدريب وضرورة تعظيمها والاستفادة من التقارب السياسي باتجاه البعد الصناعي وفي التبادل التجاري وحضر اللقاء ايضاً رئيس لجنة تحسين مخيم الزرقاء محمد هشام البوريني الذي قدم الشكر لدولة جنوب افريقا وقال انتم الاحرار ولا يستقبلكم غير الاحرار الاردنيين واضاف ان موقف احفاد مانديلا ليس بغريب عليهم وهم من الاوائل الذين عانوا الظلم والاضطهاد مثمناً دور دولة جنوب افريقيا في دعم القضية الفلسطينية.
المستشار الصحفي حسن صفيرة كان له مداخلة ايضا قال فيها ان ما قامت به دولة جنوب افريقيا جعلها تتميز عن دول العالم وعملت على تغيير وجهات النظر اتجاه ما يحدث في غزة من دمار شامل وقتل للاطفال والنساء وتصفية عرقية واضحة وفي المقابل فأن الاردن بقيادة جلالة الملك تفوق على مواقف الدول العربية والاسلامية بدعمه وكسره للحصار المفروض على اهالي غزة واضاف انه بات من الضرورة ووفق هذا التناغم السياسي ان يتمخض عنه زيادة في التبادلات التجارية والصناعية بين الاردن ودولة جنوب افريقيا .
عضو غرفة صناعة الزرقاء امجد الباشا قدم الشكر لسفيرة جنوب أفريقيا لدي الاردن علي موقف بلادها الشجاع تجاه القضيه الفلسطينيه واكد على التعاون في مختلف المناحي الاقتصاديه بالأخص في المجال الزراعي
والأمن الغذائي. وتبادل الخبرات وحيث ان الاردن يمتلك خبرات علميه شامله في القطاع الزراعي من خلال الأبحاث والجامعات واضاف الباشا ان الاردن يعد بيئه خصبه للاستثمار من خلال التطوير والإبداع المستمر بفضل قيادته الهاشميه والداعمة دومًا. بتحفيز الاستثمار ورحب الباشا بكافه الاستثمارات العربيه والأجنبية خصوصا ما ينتج عن التعاون بين القطاعات الصناعية والتجارية والزراعية بين البلدين.
وفي نهاية اللقاء قدم رئيس غرفة صناعة الزرقاء المهندس فارس حمودة درعاً تذكارياً عبارة عن مجسم لقبة الصخرة باسم الغرفة والوفد المرافق وقامت السفيرة بتوجيه رسالة شكر ايضا لهذه المبادرة مؤكدة على عمق العلاقة بين البلدين التي ستكبر وتتعاظم على كافة المستويات السياسية والاقتصادية في الايام القادمة .
