Amman, Jordan (June 12, 2026) – Run Jordan celebrated the successful conclusion of the 5th edition of the Bromine Women’s Race, held under the slogan “Run for You” at Al Hussein Public Parks, in a vibrant sporting and community atmosphere with broad participation from women and girls of various age groups.
The race was held under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Safaa bint Firas, and the attendance of Her Royal Highness Princess Haya bint Firas, who gave the start of the race and rewarded the winners during the closing ceremony, reaffirming her support for women’s sports and encouraging women to adopt healthy and active lifestyles.
The event was organized by Run Jordan and the Greater Amman Municipality, in cooperation with the Jordan Athletics Federation, and sponsored by Bromine Jordan as the Main Sponsor and Arab Bank as the Gold Sponsor, alongside several partners and supporters from both the public and private sectors.
The race attracted a wide participation of 1,500 women and girls competing in the 2.6 km and 5.2 km categories, in an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm, positive energy, and community spirit. The Women’s Police, Women’s Gendarmerie, the Women’s Stadium Security Unit, paramedics, and volunteers also played a key role in ensuring a safe and successful experience for all participants.

The event also featured an entertaining and artistic program, highlighted by a performance from artist Violet Al Youssef during the closing ceremony, along with a dabkeh show by the Greater Amman Municipality troupe and a performance by the Jordanian Armed Forces band. The celebration was attended by participants, their families, and members of the community, adding a festive atmosphere to the occasion.
This year’s edition also carried a humanitarian dimension, with Run Jordan allocating 20% of registration fees to support families in Gaza through the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, reflecting the association’s commitment to promoting solidarity and social responsibility alongside its sporting mission.
Ms. Lina El Kurd, General Manager of Run Jordan, expressed her pride in the success of the fifth edition of the Bromine Women’s Race, emphasizing that the strong turnout reflects growing awareness of the importance of sports and their role in enhancing women’s health, confidence, and community engagement.
El Kurd added that the race has become an annual platform celebrating women and their achievements while promoting physical activity among women and girls of all ages. She also praised the significant contributions of partners, sponsors, and volunteers in making the event a success.
At the conclusion of the event, winners across all race categories were honored in a celebratory atmosphere that reflected the spirit of achievement, determination, and empowerment that the Women’s Race embodies year after year.
Run Jordan also extended its gratitude to all official entities, security agencies, partners, supporters, and volunteers who contributed to the success of the event, particularly the Greater Amman Municipality, the Public Security Directorate, the Gendarmerie, Civil Defense, and the organizing teams for their efforts in providing a safe and integrated experience for all participants.
