Amman, Jordan (July 2026) – Run Jordan has officially opened registration for the inaugural Madaba Mosaic Race 2026, scheduled to take place on Friday, July 31, 2026, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Firas bin Raad, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Run Jordan. The race is organized in cooperation with the Greater Madaba Municipality and supported by the Greater Amman Municipality and the Jordan Athletics Federation.
The launch of the race reflects Run Jordan’s vision of promoting sports tourism while showcasing the rich historical and cultural heritage of Madaba through a unique sporting event that allows participants to run through some of the city's most iconic historical and religious landmarks.
The event will feature two race distances: 10 km and 5 km. The 10 km race will start from Mount Nebo, while the 5 km race will begin in the Al Faisaliah area, with both routes finishing at the Madaba Visitor Center. The carefully designed courses offer participants a one-of-a-kind experience that combines sport with the discovery of Madaba’s remarkable history and cultural heritage.
Run Jordan invited runners from Jordan and abroad to register and take part in the inaugural edition of the race, emphasizing that the event welcomes participants of all ages and fitness levels, from professional athletes to recreational runners.
Ms. Lina El Kurd, General Manager of Run Jordan, stated that the inaugural Madaba Mosaic Race marks another milestone in the association’s efforts to introduce distinctive sporting events that highlight Jordan’s cities and strengthen their position as sports tourism destinations.
El Kurd added that the race is more than a sporting competition; it is a unique experience that blends physical activity with history and culture, expressing her enthusiasm for welcoming participants from different nationalities and backgrounds to discover Madaba in a truly memorable way.
