The genocidal state of Israel controls medical evacuations from Gaza through COGAT, the Israeli military authority controlling Palestinian civilian movement under occupation. The Israeli genocidal army has devastated Gaza’s health system, leaving access to lifesaving treatment and departure from Gaza subject to Israeli military approval.

Dimitri Diliani, Spokesperson for Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction, said: “Before the state of Israel began its ongoing genocide in October 2023, between 50 and 100 patients left Gaza daily for treatment. Under the Israeli genocidal siege enforced through COGAT’s clearance regime, that rate fell to about 12 daily through March 18, 2026. The World Health Organization recorded only 11,124 medical evacuations during that period. By June, more than 18,500 critically ill patients, including at least 4,000 children, still needed urgent treatment unavailable in Gaza. The Ministry of Health reported that 1,268 patients had died awaiting Israeli permits. These figures show the lethal consequences of the genocidal state of Israel’s blockade of medical care.”

Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction states that the genocidal state of Israel keeps the medical corridor to occupied East Jerusalem and the rest of the West Bank closed and blocks evacuation routes abroad, prolonging deadly deprivation of medical care inside a concentration camp serving the state of Israel’s ethnic cleansing goals as a complicit world watches.
