Films about Palestine have entered the Hollywood establishment. Made by Palestinian and Israeli filmmakers, No Other Land won the 2025 Oscar for Best Documentary Feature. Produced in Tunisia and France, The Voice of Hind Rajab won Venice’s Silver Lion Grand Jury Prize and earned a 2026 Oscar nomination. Brad Pitt, Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara joined Oscar-winning directors Alfonso Cuarón and Jonathan Glazer as executive producers. Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction views these developments as the beginning of a historic breach in the entrenched Zionist control of Hollywood narratives that promote Israeli propaganda.

Dimitri Diliani, a member of the Fateh Revolutionary Council and spokesperson for Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction, said: “From 13 to 23 meters away, an Israeli tank fired an estimated 335 rounds into the car carrying 6-year-old Hind Rajab and 6 relatives. Trapped among their bodies, Hind spent 3 hours pleading with Palestine Red Crescent dispatchers to rescue her. The genocidal Israeli army killed her, her family and paramedics Yusuf al-Zeino and Ahmed al-Madhoun, sent to save her.”

“More than 8,000 film workers have pledged to boycott Israeli film institutions implicated in genocide, apartheid and ethnic cleansing,” Diliani added.

He stressed: “Israeli terrorist settlers beat No Other Land director Hamdan Ballal. Israeli forces detained him. Over 800 Academy members compelled the Academy to apologize for omitting him and the film.”

Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction supports the international film workers’ boycott of Israeli film institutions implicated in genocide, apartheid and ethnic cleansing and calls on studios, festivals, unions and agencies to distribute Palestinian work and end retaliation against artists who oppose the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza.
