The genocidal Israeli government, through its Minister of Genocide Israel Katz, has formally backed a request to expunge the criminal record of convicted killer and Israeli medic Elor Azaria. Azaria was filmed shooting wounded Palestinian civilian Abdel Fattah al-Sharif in the head as he lay incapacitated on a street in Hebron in March 2016—the very man whom Azaria, as a medic, was duty-bound to treat.
Dimitri Diliani, Spokesperson for Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction, said: “On 24 March 2016, Azaria executed al Sharif 11 minutes after Israeli troops incapacitated him. An Israeli military court sentenced him to 18 months in prison for manslaughter in 2017. Army chief Gadi Eisenkot reduced it to 14. Israel’s military parole board freed him after 9 months.”
Diliani stated: “Azaria’s criminal record expires in 2032. The United States denied Azaria and his immediate family entry in 2024 for ‘involvement in a gross human rights violation’. Katz asked the President of the genocidal state of Israel, Isaac Herzog, to erase it sooner.”
Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction maintains that the request continues the genocidal state of Israel’s protection of Israelis who murder Palestinian civilians. Our national liberation requires accountability for the genocidal Israeli army and officials who shield its murderers.
