The state of Israel’s siege deprives Gaza’s sewage pumps of engine oil, worsening the sanitation emergency across areas devastated by its genocidal army. Sewage and waste destroy the conditions required for life on our land, serving the state of Israel’s grand plan of ethnic cleansing.
Dimitri Diliani, spokesperson for Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction, said: “A UN OCHA report issued last week cited the Gaza Joint WASH Assessment, conducted from March 29 to April 9, which found that 60% of our people were exposed to sewage or human waste within 10 metres of their shelters and that more than 900,000 people were exposed to accumulated garbage in residential areas.”
“At Gaza City’s Sheikh Radwan pumping station, engine oil shortages cut operations to 5 hours a day, causing sewage levels in the stormwater lagoon to rise rapidly,” Diliani added.
Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction affirms our right to the unrestricted, sustained entry of engine oil and essential sanitation supplies. Breaking the genocidal state of Israel’s siege is essential to ending Gaza’s sewage emergency.
