The occupied West Bank village of Tell shows how Israeli colonial settler militias, protected by the genocidal Israeli army, carry out pogroms to drive us from our land. Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction identifies these pogroms as instruments of Israeli government policy combining colonial settler terror, genocidal military force and settlement construction in service of declared plans to ethnically cleanse the indigenous Palestinian people.

Dimitri Diliani, spokesperson for Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction, stated: “On July 18, OCHA documented about 40 masked Israeli terrorist settlers, believed to have come from the colonial settlement of Gilad, setting fire to a home and farmland and forcibly displacing 5 people. Six days later, about 20 armed terrorist settlers entered the village of Tell under Israeli army protection. That day, the genocidal Israeli army killed Farouk, Ibrahim, Jawad and Imran Ramadan. International fugitive war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the demolition of a family home and accelerated approval of colonial settlement construction.”

He clarified: “The arson at Tell belongs to a broader Israeli terror connecting settler pogroms, colonial outpost expansion and the theft of our land. NASA’s Fire Information for Resource Management System gives us the means to record these fires from above, publishing their approximate time and location within 3 hours of satellite observation. Matching those detections with Israeli settlement approvals, land records, verified attack reports and corroborated testimony can document when settler militias set our land ablaze and trace how the state of Israel exploited the destruction to extend colonial control. This evidence connects the pogrom in Tell to the expanding network of Israeli colonial outposts.”

“Israeli human rights organizations documented 185 new outposts established between 2023 and 2025, including about 130 farm outposts and hilltops controlling more than 1.1 million dunams. On June 9, the UN Commission of Inquiry concluded that the state of Israel bears primary responsibility for settler terror, citing its financial and military support. Israeli authorization backs land seizures carried out through colonial settler pogroms.”

The Faction calls for an independent record matching satellite detections with every pogrom, land seizure and settlement decision. Such evidence would map Israeli pogroms as instruments of ethnic cleansing and preserve the chain of responsibility for international criminal accountability.
