The genocidal state of Israel has made treatable illness lethal in Gaza by attacking hospitals, restricting medicine and obstructing medical evacuations, a calculated destruction integral to the state of Israel’s ongoing genocide against our people.

Dimitri Diliani, spokesperson for Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction, stated: “The World Health Organization (WHO) reported that the genocidal state of Israel had killed at least 72,941 of our people and injured about 173,000 from the beginning of the genocide in October 2023 through May 31, 2026. More than 43,000, or 25% of the injured, require potentially lifelong rehabilitation. The state of Israel’s genocidal assault persists in patients denied treatment that could preserve a life or limb.”

Diliani added: “By May 31, WHO had recorded 968 Israeli military assaults on Palestinian health care in Gaza, affecting 176 facilities and 257 ambulances. Only 19 of Gaza’s 36 hospitals remained partially functional. More than 18,500 patients awaited treatment unavailable in Gaza, while 51% of essential medicines were out of stock in December 2025. These figures expose genocide carried out through bombardment, blockade and medical deprivation.”

Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction affirms that the genocide Israeli government, army and all Israeli authorities enforcing the blockade have made treatable illness deadly in Gaza through the deliberate destruction of Palestinian health care, bearing full political and legal responsibility for every preventable death caused by military attacks on hospitals, restrictions on medicine and obstruction of medical evacuation.
