The genocidal state of Israel controls Gaza’s food and aid for ethnic cleansing and colonial domination.

Dimitri Diliani, spokesperson for Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction, said: “Oxfam, the international aid organization, analyzed data from IPC, the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification, a global hunger standard. It found northern Gaza’s food availability averaged 245 calories per person daily from Jan. 7 to Feb. 20, 2024, under 12 percent of the required 2,100. Israel’s 2007 to 2010 ‘red line’ set 2,279 calories per person. These facts prove that the genocidal state of Israel knows well what blocking food does. This is a calculated genocidal starvation.”

Diliani added: “From Feb. 21 to March 27, 2024, the genocidal state of Israel allowed an average of 105 food trucks to enter Gaza each day for a population of 2 million, 90% of whom the state of Israel had forcibly displaced. IPC projects that more than 1.4 million of our people, 67 percent of those who survived Israel’s genocide in Gaza, will face hunger classified as Crisis or worse through December of this year. The 212,000 people projected to reach Emergency will face larger food gaps, acute malnutrition and excess deaths. IPC also projects that 74,200 children will require treatment for acute malnutrition through April 2027. Malnutrition declined when aid increased, confirming that the genocidal state of Israel’s control over food access determines survival. The genocidal Israeli army blocks access to Gaza’s farmland, leaving only 3 percent usable.”

Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction holds that the genocidal state of Israel’s restriction of food, control of aid and denial of access to farmland form a calculated starvation policy intended to carry out ethnic cleansing and consolidate colonial domination over Palestine.
