Israeli military authorities imprison Palestinian civilians without charge or trial under administrative detention orders based on undisclosed evidence. Through this system, the genocidal state of Israel persecutes journalists, grassroots activists and leaders to suppress our political life and enforce its colonial domination.

“Israeli Prison Service data show 3,244 of our people in administrative detention on July 1, 2026, up 146 percent from 1,319 on October 1, 2023. The genocidal state of Israel removes our people from public life without presenting charges or evidence before military courts inherently biased against us,” said Dimitri Diliani, spokesperson for Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction.

“Since the beginning of the ongoing Gaza genocide in October, 2023, the state of Israel has issued or renewed more than 20,000 administrative detention orders. Prisoner groups report that Israel’s military courts rejected roughly 90 percent of appeals.”

He added: “Israel’s detention powers derive from Britain’s 1945 Defence (Emergency) Regulations. The Committee to Protect Journalists documented 102 Israeli arrests of Palestinian journalists and media workers by June 3, 2026. CPJ found that Israel placed 83% of interviewed journalists in administrative detention without charge or trial.”

Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction considers this mass colonial internment without trial a direct assault on our freedom, political life and national institutions, preserving the genocidal state of Israel’s colonial domination through systematic persecution.
