The genocidal state of Israel has organized its occupation around control of our borders, land, resources, trade and public revenues, imposing economic dependency as an instrument of colonial domination. Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction places economic freedom as one of the pillars of our national struggle.
“UNCTAD’s 2026 assessment found that Israeli occupation deprived our economy of $212.2 billion in potential GDP between 2000 and 2024, equal to 19.4 times Palestinian GDP in 2024,” said Dimitri Diliani, spokesperson for Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction. “Israeli restrictions in Area C alone cost us $50 billion from 2000 through 2020, nearly 3 times the West Bank’s 2020 GDP. These losses measure the accumulated economic cost of colonial control over our land, water and productive capacity.”
Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction maintains that Israel’s fiscal strangulation, seizure of resources and economic destruction constitute a single system of colonial domination serving the Israeli state’s goals of ethnic cleansing. Our control over our land, borders, resources and revenues is indispensable to national liberation.
