𝗝𝗲𝗿𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗺, 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲
The genocidal state of Israel has built a military detention apparatus that targets our children through apartheid law, coercive interrogation, administrative detention, secret files, organized state terrorism, and war crimes against Palestinian childhood.
Dimitri Diliani, Spokesperson for Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction, stated: “For 78 years, the state of Israel has treated Palestinian childhood as a target of colonial domination, and it has dragged our children before military judges serving an ethnic cleansing regime. Israeli Military Order 1651 places children as young as 12 inside Israeli military prosecution for so called “security offenses”, while administrative detention imprisons our children without charge or trial through secret files and renewable orders.”
Diliani added: “Defense for Children International, DCI-Palestine, documents that the genocidal state of Israel prosecutes between 500 and 700 Palestinian children every year in military courts. Recent public figures show about 350 Palestinian children held currently in Israeli military torture camps. By the end of last year, 180 children were held in administrative detention, the highest recorded figure since monitoring began. UNICEF has documented a long record of Israeli crimes against kidnapped Palestinian children, including physical torture, coercive interrogation, denial of parental presence, and grave violations of due process.”
Diliani stressed that the state of Israel’s kidnapping and military prosecution of our children attacks family life, wounds memory, and turns childhood into a battlefield of Israeli messianic colonial control, affirming that international accountability requires material consequences against this carceral war on Palestinian childhood, and against every political cover that leaves the genocidal state of Israel free to keep feeding its military courts, prisons, and torture camps with our children.
