Israeli reporting and Israeli military inquiries have pierced the state narrative surrounding the events of October 7, 2023, revealing an Israeli command failure, a captive crisis exposed to Israeli fire, and a political class that converted its own military collapse into fuel for the genocide imposed on Gaza.

Dimitri Diliani, Spokesperson for Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction, stated: “Haaretz reported that Israeli commanders invoked Hannibal directives on October 7, 2023 and Israeli military inquiries admitted a disastrous collapse. These are Israeli records, Israeli admissions, Israeli command failures. The genocidal state of Israel buried its military responsibility beneath Gaza’s rubble and sold mass extermination to the world as security.”

Diliani added: “Israel says 1,200 people were killed and 251 were taken captive on October 7. The same state unleashed a genocide that has killed more than 73,000 of our people in Gaza including more than 22,000 children. Israeli military chaos became our genocide through a colonial regime that treats truth as a battlefield and our lives as expendable material for ideologically driven Israeli politics.”

Diliani stressed: “The Hannibal shadow opens a forbidden door inside Israel’s war narrative. It exposes a state that subjected captives to its own fire, purified its public story, and demanded global permission for genocide.”

Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction affirms that accountability requires full disclosure of Israeli military fire on October 7 and material consequences for Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
