The genocidal state of Israel is attacking Palestinian life before birth through bombardment, starvation, forced displacement, colonial domination and the destruction of medical care in Gaza. Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction affirms that the state of Israel’s assault on reproductive survival strikes directly at our families and our national continuity on our homeland.

Dimitri Diliani, member of Fateh’s Revolutionary Council and spokesperson for Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction, stated: “The state of Israel’s genocidal army kills our people in their homes and destroys the hospitals, medicine, food supplies, and basic safety that mothers and newborns need to survive.” Adding, “According to our official national figures, Gaza recorded 57,000 births in 2022, 54,000 in 2023 and 38,000 in 2024. Live births fell from 5,210 in January 2026 to 3,433 in February, 3,233 in March, 2,004 in April and 1,701 in May of this year. Gaza also recorded 921 miscarriages this past April alone, a rate equal to nearly 46% of live births recorded that month.”

Diliani added: “The legal basis is explicit: Article II of the Genocide Convention includes measures intended to prevent births within a protected group. The genocidal state of Israel carries out that genocidal crime through siege, starvation, shattered maternity care, and destroyed fertility services.”

Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction affirms that Israel is perpetrating genocide against our people across generations.
