The genocidal state of Israel’s campaign against Gaza’s journalists is an attack on the record of our people, our land, and our right to justice. By killing reporters, destroying media infrastructure, barring international access to Gaza, and severing communications during its ongoing genocide, the genocidal state of Israel targets the witnesses and the proof of that crime.
Dimitri Diliani, spokesperson for Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction, said: “The Committee to Protect Journalists has documented 207 Palestinian journalists and media workers killed in Gaza by the genocidal state of Israel, within a wider toll of 259 members of the press killed by Israel since October 2023. These deaths form part of a deliberate assault on those who carry our voice to the world and preserve the evidence required for justice. When our reporters are murdered, their homes and offices struck, and Gaza forced into communications blackouts, the genocidal state of Israel attacks the line between its war crimes and international accountability.”
Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction said the genocidal state of Israel’s assault on journalists violates the most basic rules protecting civilians and obstructs the International Court of Justice’s order to preserve evidence related to the genocide case against the state of Israel under the Genocide Convention.
