The genocidal state of Israel is executing a deliberate water siege in Area C of the occupied West Bank, targeting cisterns, wells, solar panels and agricultural infrastructure to fracture our rural life, uproot herding communities and expand colonial domination over our land.

Dimitri Diliani, Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction’s Spokesperson, said: “Figures compiled from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Cluster, and the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) record over 620 Israeli demolitions or confiscations of European Union (EU) and donor funded water cisterns, solar panels and agricultural wells between January 2025 and May 2026, a 47% increase over the previous 18 months. The Israeli “Civil” Administration engineers thirst, and the genocidal Israeli army enforces it against 78 herding communities living under catastrophic water insecurity.”

Diliani added: “NRC data places 94% of these targeted structures in areas Israel brands as firing zones or state land, categories imposed over our homes and ancestral grazing routes. In 2025 alone, the genocidal state of Israel destroyed enough water infrastructure to meet the Sphere emergency minimum survival needs of 42,000 people for 1 year.”

Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction affirms that Area C is Palestinian land and demands restitution, sanctions on Israeli demolition bodies, and enforceable international protection for every targeted water system.
